Well, like Momos is a gift to us from Tibet, similarly Samosa is a gift to us from the people of the Middle East and Central Asia. The Samosa recipe wide-spread in different parts of the Middle East and Central Asia where it occupied a place of its own among the food lovers.

Both momos and samosas are basically from the same family. All are being prepared using refined flour. But, the difference lie in in the inside filling and the way these two are cooked. Like in India it is filled with boiled potatoes, peas, some chilies and one single piece of paneer at its crown. It is then deep fried and there we get our traditional and evergreen Samosa recipe.

Hey, anyone ever noticed any similarity with the Samosa’s shape and the shape of pyramids? Yes, now everyone must have noticed!! Basically, Samosa was initially named Samsa after the Pyramids of Central Asia.
