The Dessert Variant Recipe: Bread rasmalai
Bread Rasmalai is the recipe to have when you crave some sweet with bread base. Bread Rasmalai is an exciting quick variant for the usual rasmalai.
Bread Rasmalai is simple & quick homemade recipe, which could satisfy craving for milk based sweet. It is the best choice in case of the homemade sweet desserts. It is favorite for my whole family.
Ingredients for Bread Rasmalai:
- Milk-1 litre
- Bread Slices-8-10
- 3/4th Cup-(Powdered) Sugar
- 5-6 (Sliced) Pista
- 5-6 (Sliced) Cashews
- 5-6 (Sliced) Almonds
- 1/2 tablespoon-Cardamom Powder
- 10 strands-Saffron
Preparation for Bread Rasmalai:
- In a wide heavy bottomed pan, grease it using little ghee & drop milk plus condensed milk. Bring for a boiling & lower to moderate flame. Continue stirring until the milk begins thickening & lowered to half. Meantime take two tablespoon of warm milk, drop saffron strands & crush it well, put it aside.
- Then add the saffron milk for the boiling & continue stirring. Now include the sugar & continue stirring. The mixture is known as rabri & it tastes amazing by itself.
- Continue sim & stirring it until it lowers in volume. Fry the nuts in ghee & add it to the rabri & mix properly. Drop cardamom powder & provide a quick mix.
- When the rabri is thick, turn it off & refrigerate it. Meantime have bread slices, trim its corners. Take a tiny lid & press it softly on the bread slices in little circles. At the time of serving, take a bowl, drop the rabri & the bread rounds as well.
- The tasty, easy bread rasmalai gets prepared in a few minutes. Distribute it always cold!
Notes:
- Chill the rabri till serving time. Also don’t pre-soak bread, only add it when you are serving.
- One could even toast the bread slightly in ghee and then include it to the rabri.
- One could also add one tablespoon milk powder for flavour & thickness.
